I’m going to jump in here, I just watched a hilarious Obama speech and feel the need to argue.  

No to defend any which position (BP, the Obama Administration, Liberalz, Conservativz, blacks, whites, purples, seals, Chuck Palahniuk fans), but you can’t levy rational fines against a party until all damages have been assessed.  And since the damage from the spill is presently continuous, you can’t asses and valuate economic and environmental damages to the region.  In due time, padawan, in due time.

Americans need to learn the virtue of patience.  Of course, I say that completely hypocritically as I await shipping notifications as the the precise whereabouts of my brand new iPhone 4.  Well there goes that…
